What the construction includes
This $200 charge covers the construction of a custom designer unit only. It does not include styling, installation, or post-install adjustments — installation is booked separately. Construction focuses on producing the unit to the specifications agreed at consultation; final on-head styling and fitting are handled in subsequent appointments once the piece is complete.
After your consultation we need 2 weeks to construct the unit; that two-week lead time allows us to prepare the piece to your agreed specifications. When the unit is ready, the construction-only appointment is scheduled — the listed duration is 15 MINUTES for handoff and final checks. Installation and styling are then scheduled as separate appointments.
Booking and deposit policy
A deposit is required at booking to secure your construction slot; the service also requires a pre-appointment consultation. Consultations establish the specifications we will construct and confirm timing. Because many clients travel from downtown and nearby neighborhoods, we advise scheduling the consultation early to align with work or event schedules and to avoid delays during our busiest months.
Plan ahead for May, November, and December — these are the busiest months because clients commission units in advance for graduations and holiday events. Our location near Interstate 65 and Interstate 40 and close to Germantown dining makes it easier for hospitality and music industry workers to attend early-evening consultations that fit busy schedules.
Local scheduling and expectations
Your pre-appointment consultation sets the unit specifications; bring reference photos and the dates you need the unit so we can align construction with your schedule and the two-week lead time. We regularly work with clients from North Nashville, Germantown, East Nashville and downtown — our proximity to interstates and transit helps commuters attend consultations outside normal work hours.
Choosing the construction-only route means your unit is ready to be fitted and styled later, giving flexibility for timing and stylist availability. The trade-off is an extra appointment for installation and styling; allow additional time in your calendar when booking. If you have event-driven timing or live in areas prone to humid summers, plan installation dates with travel and weather in mind.
